The Landjäger Kürzestfilm Festival 2025
The Kürzestfilm Festspiele are coming back to the Gartenbaukino Vienna in June 2025!
And they will make you big. At least for a very, very short time.
So capture the best 12 seconds of your life and send us your shortest film for the big screen!
We promise: In 2025, there will once again be loads of great stuff for jury and audience winners. For everyone else, fame, rum and love, love, love and of course: the best show ever! Because the Landjäger loves you. Love them too.

Ideally a quicktime video or mp4 [landscape format (!), FullHD=1920×1080 resolution]. Please no videos in wmv format.

Heaven:
Welcome to the VIP lounge of the universe, where milk and honey flow endlessly. But be careful! The sky is like a moody roommate: just when it’s bright blue, a thunderstorm rolls in and ruins your picnic. The ultimate stage for all things beautiful, but also for chaos and drama.
Hell:
Everything terrible and unbearable? Or: Finally, you have an eternal opportunity to rethink your worst habits. Sure, it’s a bit like being in a crowded sauna, but make the best of it! Maybe hell isn’t a place of torment after all, but more like a chaotic class reunion – only with more lava and less buffet.
Truth:
It is often bitter, often unpopular, often unexpected, twisted or circumvented. But the truth has a nasty habit: it is incorruptible. No matter how much you beg, bribe or try to ignore it – it simply remains cool: “I’m here. Deal with it.”
Mandatory:
The constant companion that pops up at the most inopportune times. You’re lying on the couch and think you can comfortably binge 12-second movies? Wrong! Have you done your tax return? And what about the washing up? And by the way, Grandma would love a phone call! Duty is annoying, exhausting, but somehow also unavoidable – nobody ordered it, but in the end it’s good for you.
And otherwise:
Please send in your films without opening and closing credits. That’s what we do.

You must own the rights to the music and image rights used or you must have the rights of use and subsequently the publication rights.
By participating, you confirm that you have the consent of all contributors to the publication of your film. By participating, the (non-exclusive) rights of use to the video are transferred to Landjäger Magazin.
And please don’t be angry: we will only show a selection of all 12 second films! If your short film makes it to the audience vote on the homepage, it will also be shown in the horticultural cinema.
